I don't haul Choir Council in for a meeting very often, but I should. Every time I do, I walk away feeling glad that I did and grateful for the thoughtfulness, good ideas, and creativity that they bring to our work.
Who's on Council? Molly, Dylan, Tara, Jenna, and Maddie! When I called the meeting, Molly asked, "Hey - am I still on Council?" Since she HAS graduated and leaves for college next week. And the answer is Yes! Until we have a new council, the old one is in place.
I'll confess... even after graduation, Council members still get calls from me. I called Leanna and Dean on Friday and asked for their insight. (*snaps* to Leanna and Dean!) Funny - the Council alum and the current Council had very similar responses to the questions.
Soooo - what did Council talk about? Mostly about tour. :-) (You'll know the destination before our rally on Sep. 14.) We also talked about next year's choir. We are very much in need of high school altos and tenors. So if you know any singers, please invite them to our opening night rally on Monday, September 14 from 6:30pm - 8:30pm.

Welcome! Voices In Praise exists for the glory of God and in service to others. As the youth choir of Friendship United Methodist Church, the group is open to all youth in grades 6 -12 who have a desire to sing and a willingness to make the commitment to the group. Singers are not required to be a member of the church or to have any background in singing. Our doors are open to everyone!
The choir rehearses on Mondays. Girls rehearse from 6:30pm – 8pm; Guys rehearse from 7pm – 8:30pm.
