Voices In Praise is the youth choir of Friendship United Methodist Church in Friendship, Maryland. The 50+-voice ensemble is made up of youth between the ages of 11 and 18, who perform a range of music from classic choral pieces, to toe-tapping spirituals and gospel tunes, as well as contemporary anthems.
In addition to regular performances in church, Voices In Praise sings for audiences who might not otherwise have the opportunity to experience sacred music. The choir has performed at hospitals, retirement communities, nursing homes, children’s centers, juvenile detention centers, prisons, homeless shelters, shelters for victims of domestic violence, and more.
During its 17-year history, the choir has traveled throughout North America and around the globe.
