Choir Tour 2014 - Day 1 Recap

Good morning from Victoria -

Day 1 went beautifully... the kids were in high spirits throughout our long travel day and navigated each leg of our journey with good cheer and grace.

We were happy to arrive at BWI in plenty of time for a smooth check-in before our flight. The flight was long but smooth. The kids(mostly) occupied the back rows of the aircraft and napped, played games, read, and relaxed.

Ben Griese gave us a bit of excitement as he felt woozy. But there was an impressive team of doctors and nurses on board to assist. Ben made a speedy recovery and was 100% before we arrived in Seattle. Kevin Wilkerson did an amazing job -- he saw that Ben was pale and quickly notified an adult. It's great that the kids are watching out for one another.

Our bus driver, Brian, is great and very nice. We cleared the border in 20 minutes and had no issues (hallelujah).

The ferry ride to Victoria was beautiful and the kids are loving the cooler temperatures. We settled into our hotel and had devo at 8:45pm. The verse last night was 1 Peter 4: 8-10. The kids has a great discussion about showing Christian love, offering hospitality to to others, using our gifts, and delivering our best in different ministry situations. Lights out was officially at 10:30pm but many of the kids were asleep well before then.

We're off to tour the Houses of Parliament at 10am and perform there at 12pm.

Thanks for your prayers. We're having a wonderful time!
