Welcome! Voices In Praise exists for the glory of God and in service to others. As the youth choir of Friendship United Methodist Church, the group is open to all youth in grades 6 -12 who have a desire to sing and a willingness to make the commitment to the group. Singers are not required to be a member of the church or to have any background in singing. Our doors are open to everyone!
The choir rehearses on Mondays. Girls rehearse from 6:30pm – 8pm; Guys rehearse from 7pm – 8:30pm.

Busy Day - Greenstreet Gardens, National Christmas Tree, Union Station
Voices In Praise had a great day of music yesterday! We began with a concert at Greenstreet Gardens in Lothian, MD. This wonderful nursery is incredibly supportive of our choir and it was fun to thank them in song.

Then, we headed to the National Christmas Tree in Washington, DC. It's such a special opportunity to sing in our nation's capital. We had a huge crowd of supporters - thank you to everyone who came! One VIP Dad was standing on the outskirts, closest to where the Tree's many visitors were passing by. He said that family after family paused to listen to VIP and commented on the choir's excellent performance. Some of these compliments came in different languages!

Then, it was off to Union Station for dinner in the Food Court. YUM! On the way out, we decided to sing a little Carol of the Bells. It was well-received by the crowd, but not by the Union Station Security Guards. Oops! Check out the link below to watch a video.
