A: The order forms from Sherwood Forest Farms for the choir's annual holiday greenery sale show up on her doorstep.
Yes, it's true. It's a sweltering 90+ degrees and there, right on the front step, is a box that forces me to contemplate Christmas! Yikes.
That's ok - directing VIP means planning ahead. :-) The Music Committee met this week and worked out a schedule for the rest of the year. Here are the dates (through February) that VIP is scheduled to sing at the 11am worship service at Friendship UMC.
Worship Performances: (Choir reports at 10am, unless otherwise noted)

November 1 (High School Only)
November 29 - Choir to report at 945am
January 31
February 28
We have other performances including one at Asbury Retirement Community in Solomons on the morning of September 19 and another at Festival of Trees on Sunday, November 29 at Huntingtown High School. We'll post schedule information in our "Schedule Sidebar" on the left side of this blog. Unless specifically noted, all of our performances are free and open to the public!

Welcome! Voices In Praise exists for the glory of God and in service to others. As the youth choir of Friendship United Methodist Church, the group is open to all youth in grades 6 -12 who have a desire to sing and a willingness to make the commitment to the group. Singers are not required to be a member of the church or to have any background in singing. Our doors are open to everyone!
The choir rehearses on Mondays. Girls rehearse from 6:30pm – 8pm; Guys rehearse from 7pm – 8:30pm.
