Part marathon, part talent show, VIP's first sing-a-thon is 10 hours of fun, food, fellowship, and nonstop singing of all types of music. Songs will be divided into "blocks" by genre and we'll also have a few "solo blocks" where some of your favorite singers will perform for 15-, 30- or even 45 minutes! We'll update you with the schedule as it takes shape. The event kicks off at 10am with an all-church hymn sing in the Sanctuary, followed a performance by Friendship's Children's
Choir.
Admission is FREE! Food will be available for purchase and we invite you to support Sing-A-Thon with your financial gifts. "Be a 10" and pledge $1/hour for 10 hours -- $10 for the day -- in support of Choir Tour 2010. Or, make a flat-rate pledge! You can make your pledge on the day of the event or mail it to the church: Friendship UMC, 22 W. Friendship Road, Friendship, MD 20758.
Confirmed performers: Children's Choir, Jenna Dean, Ellie Chiurco, Sarah Ridenour, Tara Kovacs, Abby Ackermann, Adrienne Ackermann, Brenna Jeffries, Brie Bailey, Henry Van Engen, Holly Reynolds Lee, Kyle Fredericks ('08), Caitlin Fowler ('08), Brad Bailey ('07), Leslie Vincent ('07), Molly Wilkerson ('09), Dean Winter ('08), and Voices In Praise!
