What an exciting event Sing-A-Thon is becoming! (And is it Singathon or Sing-A-Thon?) Over the last week, I've been rehearsing with many of the singers who will be part of this great event and let me tell you - the audience is in for some wonderful music. I'll post more info as the date approaches, but for now let me give you our morning schedule and share some of the other event highlights.
Schedule: (still a work in progress)
10am - Event kicks off with a hymn sing (Sanctuary)
10:30am - Children's Choir (pending confirmation on the time!)
11am - Disney Songs & Sing Along (Fellowship Hall).
12pm - Sacred Solos (Sanctuary)
To be scheduled: VIP Flashback Hour (come here your favorite Voices In Praise music from years past!), Broadway, Standards & Swing, a special Request Hour and... a Celtic band!
Event Highlights
- Food, served from 11am-7pm.
BBQ Sandwiches: $4/sandwich or $5/meal, which includes chips and a drink
Hotdogs: $3/hotdog or $4/meal, which includes chips and a drink
Freshly popped popcorn and slushies: $1
Homemade baked goods: Prices will vary!
- Record-grams! Send a special congratulations message to your favorite singer by decorating an ole 45 record. Cost: $3/record-grams or $5/two record-grams.
- Fun, fellowship, and some very fine singing!
Supporting Sing-A-Thon
We also invite you to support Sing-A-Thon with your financial gifts. "Be a 10" and pledge $1/hour for 10 hours -- $10 for the day -- in support of Choir Tour 2010. Or, make a flat-rate pledge! You can make your pledge on the day of the event or mail it to:
